Tegaren is a tourism village that must catch up with the increasingly aging demographic conditions. The Tegaren Tourism Village Master Plan Document 2019-2031 states that in 2019, Tegaren had a total of 366 residents aged over 56 years, or 49% of the total village population. To continue to innovate, the Tegaren government needs alternative solutions and creative ideas to solve their problems. The first problem in Tegaren is the minimal participation in collecting waste in the village and the management of waste banks. The second problem is the lack of innovation in Tegaren to deal with environmental cleanliness problems. To overcome these problems, the program held a seminar on the importance of waste management in the village and training on waste management from home in Tegaren. Based on three main concepts, namely participatory rural appraisal, capacity building, and integrated training & mentoring, the proposed seminar and training are expected to be one of the solutions to Tegaren's two problems. The program found that one of the constraints to endorsing zero-waste education was the cultural mindset. The cultural mindset was typical for rural societies which was the urgency for rural societies to collect and organize waste management. The abundant land in rural areas was one of the explanations why rural societies had no urgency to manage waste in their environment.
