Abstract

Information about medicinal plants used traditionally by tribes in Indonesia still needs to be explored, one of which is the Dayak Bakumpai tribe of South Kalimantan. Therefore, this research aims to document the plants and ingredients used by Bakumpai Dayak tribe community. This research is descriptive research with purposive techniques sampling and snowball sampling carried out in Bagus village, Bantuil village and Lepasan Village, Barito Kuala Regency. Data collection was carried out through open interviews with using a structured questionnaire. The research continued with surveys, documentation, identification, and study of plant literature. The results of the research obtained information about 8 species of plants and 13 potions to treat 33 diseases. The most common way of using herbal plants is drinking (60%). Part The most widely used plant is leaves (57%) and the least is sap (0.03%). Based on the results of ethnopharmaceutical studies it was concluded that from 8 species medicinal plants and 13 potions with medicinal properties which can be the basis for the discovery of new medicines.
