The Southern Coastal Road or Jalur Lintas Selatan (JLS) has not only transformed Trenggalek's tourism landscape but has also had a profound impact on the region's overall development. By improving connectivity and accessibility, the JLS has opened up new opportunities for economic growth, social development, and natural preservation. Moreover, the JLS has played a crucial role in preserving Trenggalek's rich natural tourism, including beaches. By attracting visitors to the region, the JLS has helped to generate revenue that can be used to support the conservation and promotion of sea turtle conservation, coral preservation, and as well as beaches in southern Trenggalek However, the development of the JLS has also presented some challenges. The increased traffic flow has led to concerns about congestion and environmental pollution. To address these issues, it is essential to implement sustainable tourism policies and invest in digital infrastructure upgrades. The development of JLS infrastructure has helped to create a more vibrant and prosperous region. To ensure the long-term sustainability of this development, it is essential to address the challenges associated with growth and adopt sustainable tourism practices, especially for the beaches. With careful planning and implementation, Trenggalek can continue to reap the benefits of the JLS for generations to come.
