Technology is becoming increasingly essential for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of education. This study examines how Junior High School Al-Azhaar Tulungagung utilizes the Canvas application to optimize the management of learning materials. Canvas, a web-based Learning Management System (LMS), offers a comprehensive set of features to support online learning, including assignment management, material organization, and teacher-student interactions. The application was chosen for its ability to provide an integrated platform that enhances assessment management and facilitates more effective communication between educators and students. The study employs a qualitative case study approach, involving practical training for teachers and students on how to use Canvas. The training includes an introduction to the platform’s key features, hands-on application in daily teaching activities, and observations on how the platform is used to manage teaching materials and facilitate interactions. The study aims to assess the benefits and challenges of utilizing Canvas at the Junior High School of Al-Azhaar Tulungagung Islamic Boarding School and to evaluate its impact on the teaching and learning processes. While a thorough evaluation of Canvas’s effectiveness has not yet been completed due to the early stage of implementation, initial findings are expected to provide valuable insights into technological readiness and user adaptation in the junior high school environment with a level of understanding and interest of 51%. The post-test results showed a significant improvement in teachers' understanding after the training, indicating its effectiveness with a level of understanding and interest of 61%. The study recommends further research to explore the long-term impact and challenges of implementing LMS platforms like Canvas in junior high school settings, as well as strategies to address potential issues that may arise.
