This research explores the significance of sales centralization within the Village-
Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) of Wahana Sejahtera, specifically focusing on the
case study of Opak Gambir in Bumirejo Village, Kesamben District. The centralization of sales is posited as a critical strategy for enhancing operational efficiency, improving financial performance, and fostering community welfare. The study employs a qualitative methodology, utilizing interviews, focus group discussions, and document analysis to gather comprehensive insights from stakeholders, including village officials, BUMDes managers, and community members. The findings indicate that centralizing sales processes within BUMDes can streamline operations, reduce costs associated with distribution, and enhance market reach. This is particularly relevant in rural contexts where logistical challenges often hinder the profitability of local enterprises. Furthermore, the research highlights the role of transformational leadership in facilitating this centralization, as effective leaders can inspire commitment and foster an organizational culture conducive to innovation and adaptability. Moreover, the study reveals that centralized sales can mitigate the influence of intermediaries, thereby stabilizing product prices and ensuring fair compensation for local producers. This aligns with the broader objectives of BUMDes, which aim to empower local communities and enhance their economic resilience. The implications of these findings suggest that policymakers should prioritize the development of frameworks that support the centralization of sales in BUMDes, as this could significantly contribute to rural economic development and the achievement of sustainable community welfare goals. In conclusion, the centralization of sales within BUMDes Wahana Sejahtera is not merely a logistical adjustment but a strategic imperative that can lead to enhanced economic outcomes for the community. By leveraging the strengths of centralized operations, BUMDes can better fulfill their mandate of promoting local economic development and improving the quality of life for residents in Bumirejo Village.
