Abstract

Tobacco drying is a crucial stage in the tobacco production process that significantly affects the quality and market value of the final product. This study aims to develop and test an efficient tobacco drying machine using renewable and environmentally friendly energy sources. The drying machine is designed with an automatic temperature control system to maintain drying consistency within a temperature range of 35-55°C, which is considered optimal for tobacco drying. The research employs an experimental method with various variables, including drying time, temperature, and relative humidity. The results show that the developed tobacco drying machine can reduce drying time by up to 30% compared to conventional drying methods while maintaining high tobacco quality, such as color, aroma, and moisture content that meet industry standards. Furthermore, this study explores the digitalization of tobacco marketing as a strategic step to improve the efficiency of distribution and sales of tobacco products. Through the integration of digital technology, such as e-commerce platforms and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, tobacco producers can reach wider markets and enhance interaction with consumers. The implementation of efficient drying machine technology and digitalized marketing is expected to improve production efficiency, reduce operational costs, and expand the market share of tobacco. Further studies are recommended to optimize the machine design and evaluate its performance on a larger scale, as well as to develop more effective digital marketing strategies.
