Abstract

Jajar Tourism Village in Trenggalek is one of the tourism villages currently being developed by UPN “Veteran” Jawa Timur. Initially, the development of village tourism in Jajar was only focused on making a master plan for the tourism village and inaugurating the climbing route, but the idea of replicating children's games in Taman Jajar Gumregah emerged, which was also possible. One direction of Jajar's development is the implementation of sustainable tourism that has a foundation of ecological thinking. UPN “Veteran” Jawa Timur applies the value of sustainable tourism by creating a children's play area similar to Kampoeng Dolanan in Surabaya. The creation of this play area involved local Jajar residents, namely Pokdarwis Kumbokarno Mukti. The children's play area is also part of the master plan for tourism development in Jajar. In addition to sustainable tourism, the creation of this children's play area is certainly one form of implementation of educational tourism as well. Educational tourism is an important pillar that not only entertains children through educational games but also brings children closer to nature and their surroundings. The children's play area in Jajar will be filled with small jumping games, challenge stairs for children, and several other educational engineering games.
