Forest Conservation Assistance to the Community in Manggar Forest Area, Karanganyar Village, Jember Regency

One effort to save the environment in Indonesia as an agricultural country is through reforestation. Karanganyar Village is facing serious environmental challenges, especially in the Manggar Forest area which is increasingly barren, so reforestation activities are carried out in the Manggar Forest in Karanganyar Village as a strategic step to preserve the environment. This reforestation activity aims to 1) increase and create awareness about forest conservation, and 2) increase knowledge about tree nurseries and planting. The method for implementing the tree planting program in Karanganyar Village is carried out using a structured approach. The first stage, namely planning, involves collaboration with village officials, Posyandu cadres, and PKK women. The next stage is planting 100 tree seedlings consisting of mahogany, soursop, and tamarind in the Manggar Forest, Karanganyar Village, Jember Regency. The final stage, evaluation is carried out with a focus on the sustainability and effectiveness of planting efforts. This program is a strategic step to preserve and improve the ecosystem. The tree planting program in Karanganyar Village has also succeeded in increasing community awareness and involvement in protecting the environment, as well as providing long-term benefits for preserving the ecosystem, preventing natural disasters, and improving air quality in accordance with the goals to be achieved.
