The era of globalization opens opportunities for every country to interact with each other in achieving goals. Global competition is an unavoidable condition as a result of the freedom between countries to interact in various sectors such as education, health, economy, culture, and so on. Therefore, universities are required to play a role in increasing the nation's competitiveness in order to be independent and able to survive in the face of global competition. One of the efforts that can be made in the health sector is the development of higher education in the health sector that integrates entrepreneurship in a global perspective. Higher education in the era of globalization requires being able to produce young generations of health workers who have competitiveness. One indicator is having an entrepreneurial spirit. Higher education must be able to prepare Human Resources who are able and ready to participate and master problem solving skills for the various challenges faced by each generation, one of which is entrepreneurship. Knowledge of entrepreneurship will be a medium of innovation to produce commodities and create jobs, both of which are the main raw materials for community welfare. Innovation in health services is an urgent need due to the large cost pressure to get good quality health services. The demand for quality services, both in terms of objective care and quality of treatment, is crucial to the welfare of the Indonesian people. Maluku Province is one of Indonesia's largest archipelagic regions. Faculty of Medicine of Pattimura University, founded in 2008, is the only Faculty of Medicine in Maluku Province with a superior program of island medicine. This Faculty is also responsible for disseminating various medical and health research findings from national and international researchers. The Faculty of Medicine at Pattimura University initiated an international conference with the scope of health and medicine to encourage discussions on new discoveries or techniques. This initiative allows researchers to collaborate and combine fundamental and applied sciences as a challenge to improve health based on the geographic conditions of the islands. Aim: Disseminate various research results at the national and international levels in the field of island doctors; As a means of communication and networking between teaching staff and researchers in the field of medicine and health, especially in the field of medicine; Increase the publication of medical and health research results from Pattimura University to be accessible globally.

Discussions related to Post-Pandemic and Future Energy Sources were discussed very clearly and in detail by competent speakers in their fields: Prof. Dr. Aishah Abdul Jalil (Global Energy Transformation that is More Environmentally Friendly for a Sustainable Future), Prof. Vetrimurugan Elumalai (Determining health risks associated with groundwater pollution and management of coastal aquifers in South Africa), Train Thi Hue, Ph.D. (Mental health and related factors of Vietnamese migrants in Japan during the COVID-19 pandemic: A comparative analysis of population status) and Adiasri Putri Purbantina, Ph.D. (UPN “Veteran” Jawa Timur, Indonesia).

The presentation of the resource person's work contributes insight and knowledge in the fields of science, technology, research, and community service so that it supports the Indonesian slogan, namely "Recover Faster, Rise Stronger" and in addition to the ISRM 2022 event it is hoped that in the future it will be able to become the axis and center for innovation and scientific publications in Indonesia, especially in the UPN “Veteran” Jawa Timur Environment.

One of the goals of a vocational program is to prepare human resources who have expertise and skills in their fields and are ready to compete in the workplace globally. However, the number of higher education institutions that provide vocational education in Indonesia is still limited, compared with the number of universities that provide “academic” education, and industrial needs. Additionally, the development of applied research is not quite optimal, which has an effect on the number of applied research works being produced.

Therefore, Faculty of Vocational Studies, Universitas Airlangga, Indonesia holds an annual international conference on vocational innovation and applied sciences (ICVIAS). It aims to provide a scientific forum for academicians, researchers, professionals, practitioners, and postgraduate students to share, discuss and disseminate ideas and innovations in applied sciences, especially in the fields of business, health and information technology. This year, 2022, ICVIAS comes to its 4th edition, bringing a big theme “Enhancing Vocational Education and Research through Collaborative Work of Health, Engineering, and Business Fields”. The reason for selecting this theme is that in 2020 the Covid-19 pandemic has exerted adverse impact on various fields and sectors, including health, engineering, and business.

The 4th Riau Medical Center and Expo International Conference (RIME) 2022 conference’s theme will be "Tackling the Silent Pandemic: Current Prevention and Management of Antimicrobial Resistance". Antimicrobial resistance is a major public health threat causing nearly 1.27 million deaths worldwide. The rise of Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) will hinder the treatment of infectious disease. The 4th RIME 2022 theme is in line with World Antibiotic Awareness Week (WAAW) set by World Health Organization (WHO), which is a global action plan to tackle the growing problem of resistance to antibiotics and other antimicrobial medicines by improving awareness and understanding of Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and encouraging best practices among the public, stakeholders and policymakers.

At this meeting, several topics with a multidisciplinary approach will be presented and discussed. Please make the most of this gathering to provide better healthcare service to our community. Understanding economic growth is recognized as the most important instrument for the decline in global poverty levels in the past 50 years, not all countries have been equally successful at reducing poverty, and income inequality has risen considerably within and among countries. Moreover, current production processes cannot be sustained within planetary boundaries: resource depletion, climate change, massive increases in waste production and pollution are challenges that have endured. The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development calls upon countries to pursue a different kind of growth, one that is socially inclusive and environmentally sustainable.

Di bidang Kesehatan, Indonesia presidency diharapkan bisa memprioritaskan munculnya “global manufacture hubs” untuk vaksin, terapeutik, dan diagnostik ke negara-negara berkembang. Kedua, prioritas untuk berbagi ilmu pengetahuan untuk pencegahan, kesiapsiagaan, dan respons terhadap krisis kesehatan. Maka Diperlukan upaya promotive-preventive yang dilaksanakan secara terintegrasi sehingga sejumah risiko penyakit dapat dikendalikan, terutama penyakit tidak menular (PTM) yang menunjukkan pergeseran pola, dari yang sebelumnya lebih banyak kasus menular, yang menyebabkan morbiditas dan mortalitas di Indonesia dan di dunia. Dalam mencapai sasaran SDGs bidang Kesehatan pun tidak mungkin diselesaikan oleh sector Kesehatan saja, tetapi juga melibatkan sector Pendidikan dan ekonomi. Oleh karenanya Kerjasama lintas ilmu menjadi keniscayaan sehingga perlu tumbuh ekosistem penelitian hingga hilirisasi hasil penelitian yang bisa dinikmati oleh masyarakat melalui program pengabdian masyarakat (community services). Mengingat urgensi menjawab tantangan sasaran SDGs pada kesempatan kali ini Universitas YARSI bermaksud ingin mengadakan suatu rangkaian acara ilmiah sebagai media pertukaran ilmu, menginspirasi dan memotivasi sivitas akademik demi tercapainya sasaran SDGs dan berkontribusi dalam G20 Presidensi Indonesia tahun 2022 . Kegiatan yang akan diadakan terdiri atas dua kegiatan, yaitu Seminar Nasional “Road to SDGs and G20 Presidency thru Tech innovation, Community Services, Biomedical and Social Science Research” dan “Diseminasi Hasil Penelitian”. Melalui “BASC 2022” diharapkan dapat menambah wawasan para peserta serta memberi motivasi kepada para dosen dan peneliti untuk terus berinovasi dalam mengembangkan riset iptek yang untuk membuat terobosan agar sasaran SDGs dapat tercapai di tahun 2030.

The Federation of Islamic Medical Associations (FIMA) is a registered body of 54 Islamic Medical Associations (IMA) from 43 countries worldwide, representing about 50,000 Muslim medical and health professionals. The mission of FIMA is to provide a platform for Muslim physicians worldwide in the areas of medical education and ethics, student camps, and humanitarian and medical relief. It is a not-for-profit, non-political and non-governmental organization.
Scientific Meeting is a program held by FIMA every year. The meeting can carry out Islamic medical activities, including health, education, and research, through cooperation and coordination among member organizations. The FIMA organization is also a place for exchanging medical information and technical expertise between organization members. In addition, the scientific meeting is expected to produce policy formulations that can be input for stakeholders in the health sector of each FIMA member.

2nd Bioinformatics and Biodiversity Conferences (BBC) is the annual conference to support the development of bioinformatics research in Indonesia. BBC is organized by the Masyarakat Bioinformatika dan Biodiversitas Indonesia (MABBI) and AKADEMISI Team. This conference was initiated by bioinformatics communities to accelerate the development of computational science, biodiversity research and related studies in Indonesia. Recently, Bioinformatics research is becoming more popular and many scientific papers have been published from Indonesian researchers. Discussions of new findings or methods will be facilitated in this event.

This program encourages researchers from multidiscipline areas to have a collaboration. Merging basic and applied sciences to solve the complex issues related to medical, environmental and omics areas. Computational approach and synthetic biology could be useful for accelerating research in Indonesia.

The event also accommodates the annual meeting for bioinformaticians in Indonesia and provides special event for university students to globally spread their ideas or prototype of their products related to bioinformatics area. With no doubt, this will be the first biggest event of Bioinformatics in Indonesia and invite all researchers to enhance the development of bioinformatics by joining this annual scientific meeting.

Die kontrastierende Betrachtung sprachlicher Phänomene ist nach wie vor ein fester Bestandteil sprachwissenschaftlicher Forschungsmethoden. Kontraste erlauben der menschlichen Wahrnehmung, einzelne Sprachphänomene wie Sprachlaute, Wörter und Sätze zu erkennen. In der Linguistik finden sich inzwischen zahlreiche Arbeiten in den Bereichen Pragmatik, Semantik, Lexikologie, Typologie und Grammatiktheorie, die sich der Methode der Kontrastiven Sprachbetrachtung bedienen. Dass Lernende beim Lernen versuchen, die bereits in ihrer Kognition gespeicherten Kenntnisse mit den neuen erworbenen Lernerfahrungen gegenüberzustellen und Vergleiche zu machen, ist bekannt. Im Kontext des Erlernens einer Fremdsprache tritt dieses Phänomen vor allem dann auf, wenn die Lernenden die gelernte Fremdsprache mit der Muttersprache sowie gegebenenfalls einer ersten Fremdsprache vergleichen. Solche Vergleiche sind selbstverständlich und haben ihre Relevanz, weil sie es ermöglichen, die Unterschiede und Gemeinsamkeiten der Erst- und Fremdsprache zu identifizieren und zu erfassen bzw. zu verstehen. Dies kann zum Verständnis (und sogar zur Beherrschung) der gelernten Fremdsprache beitragen. Aus Sicht der Lehrenden sollte der Vergleich von Mutter- und Fremdsprache für den Lehr- und Lernprozess daher sehr hilfreich sein.
