One of the goals of a vocational program is to prepare human resources who have expertise and skills in their fields and are ready to compete in the workplace globally. However, the number of higher education institutions that provide vocational education in Indonesia is still limited, compared with the number of universities that provide “academic” education, and industrial needs. Additionally, the development of applied research is not quite optimal, which has an effect on the number of applied research works being produced. In this regard, it is necessary to develop innovative applied research that can create quality works. These applied research will support the production of skilled human resources. Thus, efforts to accommodate various kinds of applied research works are necessary. So far, not many international conferences cover vocational or applied research results. In other words, the activities of exposure and dissemination of applied research works in the seminar forum are still limited.
