Outreach and Implementation of Water Filtration Systems for the Health of Residents at Al-Bisri Orphanage Foundation

Water is one of the requirements for the existence of human beings, notably for practices such as washing, taking a bath, and other such activities that are important for the well-being of people. This is because some of the regions where environmental degradation is slowly progressing and high-rise buildings are being embraced, there are less water absorption zones and sources available. This however has caused the quality of water in these urban areas to deteriorate, which in most cases, results to clear water being clouded and smelling bad to an extent that it is unhealthy. For it, since it acts as a base that provides care to the orphans, adequate education on clean water and assistance in establishing a proper clean water supply system should be provided. In line with this, it is necessary that the children who stay in the orphanages are educated on the clean water systems in the area and how to use water wisely. Through the provision of secure water supply, such education aims to secure the population’s health by ensuring that there is availability of clean water for use. In the first stage of the first phase of a project, surveys and/or other assessments of the conditions are done, permissions are taken, preparing of equipment and supplies and instructional materials is done. The children of the orphanage will receive vocational instruction regarding the relevant technology, such as the making and use of water purification systems, and promoting clean water concerns.
